Title: RE: January topic?

How about we use the next meeting whenever it happens (January|February) to plan the rest of the meetings for the year?

Some meeting ideas:

o  State of the Parrot (Perl6 Internals)
o  Introduction to Perl6 (Perl6 Language)
o  What's new with Perl 5.8.0?
o  Networking with POE (Portable Object Environment)
o  Persistence mapping between Perl and RDBMS's
o  Perl and Zope
o  Packing Problems in Perl

I could try to do the Persistence topic in the March time frame. I'd try to cover use of one or two of the following: Tangram, Alzabo, DBD::AnyData, etc.  -And I'd also try to discuss the problems mapping between flat DBMS's and heirarchical structures. Set operations, unions, reconvergent graphs, etc.

I could try the "Packing Problems" topic in the July/August time frame. I'm working on a schedule generation and constraint satisfaction problem to help my wife with her job.

It'd be nice if fellow mailing list subscribers could either express interest/disinterest in any of the above topics... and suggest their own. Even better... sign up for one ;)
