For the attention of all those who call people's struggles terrorist: when
are you going to call Israel "terrorist"?
Every day Israel engages in terrorist acts against the Palestinian people,
against its legitimate forces and even against the head of the Palestinian
Authority Yasser Arafat. To legitimise its actions, Israel calls these
reprisals against "terrorism".

In the last week alone, Israel deprived another Palestinian refugees of
their
homes, demolishing them. Yesterday the radio "Voice of Palestine" was
dynamited. All you had to do was watch TV to see the terrorist methods used
against the radio station.
First, Israeli tanks surrounded the station, then soldiers of Tsahal units
went in and placed explosive charges on every floor. The result was to
completely destroy "Voice of Palestine" radio, or rather, to smother it.

Doesn't Israel fit definitions of terrorism?

You are toiling over definitions of terrorism. So you treat as terrorists
revolutionaries, anti-fascists, anti-imperialists and anti-capitalists, all
those who fight oppression. You publish "lists of terrorist organisations".
You condemn as terrorist every form of struggle for rights and liberties and
any anti-fascist resistance.
Now, the violence used by Israel against the Palestinian people is
completely
in line with the definition of terrorism that you use.  Isn't your
definition
valid for terrorist states? The peoples of the world know the answer well!
If
Israel is not terrorist, then there is nothing in the world that deserves
the
name. In your definition, you speak of "using violence to create fear;
designed to inhibit or intimidate the population, destroy the economy and
infrastructure." It is plain that Israel commits such acts, and with the
greatest savagery. Israel publishes lists of people to kill and then uses
every kind of weapon. When the Zionist state does not succeed in killing a
target, it puts pressure on the Palestinian Authority to arrest that person
and detain him or her. Israel has exiled thousands of people and is
relentless in destroying dwelling places in refugee camps.
Israel uses tanks and missile launchers to strike buildings in the
Palestinian Authority, to strangle the economy and stifle the voice of
Palestine.
Israel kills women, children and old people with its weapons which spit out
death. In 2001 alone, Israel killed 240 children.
The State of Israel does not even bother to disguise its terrorist attacks.
The most striking illustration of this is the way it filmed its attack on
the
radio station. Afterwards Israel broadcast these images to the four corners
of the world to challenge, intimidate and terrorise the Palestinian people
and indeed the entire world.

WE ASK YOU THE QUESTION: when are you going to call the Israeli state
terrorist?  How many times will we have to witness Israel carry out attacks,
destroy houses and murder children before you see fit to condemn this
terrorist state? Will Israel have to invade Europe like Hitler did before
you
get round to calling it terrorist?

We wish this in the name of the Palestinian people and our own people

We ask that you call Israel terrorist, not only in the name of the fraternal
Palestinian people who suffer from Israeli terrorism but also in the name of
the peoples of Turkey whose heart beats as one with the Palestinian people.
You who define ideas of terrorism, who publish lists of terrorist groups and
who at the same time talk of democracy, rights, justice and liberty, WE CALL
ON YOU:
- to declare the State of Israel and those who run it to be terrorists;
- to confiscate the property of the terrorist State of Israel and to block
bank accounts in our country belonging to that terrorist state;
- to freeze all the commercial ties which feed terrorism by the state of
Israel and which you maintain with that state.
- To issue search warrants and warrants to arrest the directors of the
terrorist State of Israel, and to proceed with arrests
- To close down all the consulates and embassies of the State of Israel for
engaging in terrorist activity

We call for real terrorism to be recognised for what it is.

If you talk of terrorism, here is the State of Israel.
If you talk of international law, here is the State of Israel which embodies
lawlessness and illegality.
You who, in the name of "rejecting all forms of violence", declare as
terrorist all the people's struggles, we want to see you oppose Israel, to
see your defence of human rights, the meaning you give to democracy, to law
and to your rejection of violence.
Your blind indifference to this real terrorism can only confirm that you
have
renounced all the principles which you claim to guarantee.
