Protest fax by the Anti-imperialist Camp:

Stop the ejection of poor peasants from their land!

The Anti-imperialist Camp is condemning in the strongest terms the recent
attack of police and paramilitary forces on poor farmers in South
Hashtnagar, Charsadda, NWFP, Pakistan leaving several injured and ejecting
hundreds from the land which they work and on which they depend for their
livelihood.

The land to those who work it – this is the only solution to the abject
poverty the dependent farmers are forced to live under. We demand the
immediate withdrawal of the police forces and the return of the poor
peasants to their lands.

We regard the poor peasants of Hashthagar as part of the world-wide movement
against capitalist globalisation which only has brought misery to the
majority of the world population. Their struggle is our struggle!

In case the repression does not cease and the peasants are not allowed to
return to their lands the anti-imperialist movement considers to send an
international solidarity delegation to protect the peasants and monitor the
police.
