Well, the spec is pretty much the connection manager only. The most important part are missing yet.
I wont try to start porting protocols to separate processes. But first try to make kopete be able to use telepathy services, and then do the next move. That can be done in KDE4 when we have the dbus bindings sets. For now perhaps we could try to play with the spec using the ruby dbus bindings for basic prototyping and see what is missing in the API. They already coded a few services in python we could try to use, and viceversa.
