for Gaza

The Gaza Benefit Concert is an opportunity to raise our voices for the
voiceless people of Gaza, who are suffering horrifically from Israel's
brutal attack on their neighborhoods.

Why Are We Doing This?

In only three weeks, the invasion of Gaza has claimed the lives of 1,200
Palestinians and 13 Israelis. We believe that military action and senseless
killing on both sides are not the answer to the Israeli-Palestinian
conflict.

Music is a powerful tool of creativity, reflection and action. Through this
apolitical event, we hope to raise awareness of the conflict, raise funds
for humanitarian relief, and mobilize the public to action.

Bringing together musicians, actors and civic leaders, the Gaza Benefit
Concert is an opportunity to raise our voices for the voiceless people of
Gaza, who are suffering horrifically from Israel's attack on their
neighborhoods. The event is organized by the

Islamic Relief and KinderUSA are locally based organizations who are already

much-needed supplies to the 1.5 million residents of Gaza.

<http://www.irw.org/> Islamic Relief, named a "Four Star Charity" by
<http://www.charitynavigator.org/> Charity Navigator (America's largest
charity evaluator), has been helping the Palestinian people since 1994,
providing food aid, medical relief, small business loans, and orphan
sponsorships, among other services. Since opening its Gaza City office in
1998, Islamic Relief has also established educational enhancement centers,
care programs for psychologically traumatized children and a school for the
deaf.

 <http://www.kinderusa.org/> KinderUSA is a non-profit organization founded
in 2002 by a group of American physicians and humanitarian relief workers.
KinderUSA is an accronym for Kids in Need of Development, Education, and

believing that all children are entitled to their inherent rights of
survival, health, shelter and education. KinderUSA puts into action programs
