Something else to keep in mind about the IGI - for the portion of it that did come from the extraction program, you DEFINITELY want to look at the film of the original source document. I work in extraction and so I KNOW there is much information in these documents that DOES NOT make it into the IGI. Only the information pertinent to providing temple ordinance work ends up there. But I have repeatedly seen cards about christenings that list grandparents of the child (both sides), tell if the child was a twin, etc. In the marriage records it often tells if the person was previously married and gives full parent and grandparent names of the couple. So DON'T ignore going to that source - you MAY (not always) find a wealth of other information than what you see in the IGI. - Kay King Glendale, CA ............................................................. voted #1 search engine! http://www.iwon.com why wouldn't you? ............................................................. ==== LDS-GENEALOGY Mailing List ====
