I put my "normal" name in brackets and leave as is. Years ago, the recorder, the scribe, the priest, perhaps could not spell the name so per phonetic sound--the name was spelled. As for baptismal records, many times the sponsors or god parents also did not know how to spell the name, many times did not know the correct DOB etc. thus names and DOB were guessed at. And, many times the baptismal records when recorded or submitted indicate the date of sealing or baptismal rather than the true date. Thus when I enter my names or dates, if they do not agree with my information, I place the true name/DOB and other info in brackets or in the notes. Then there is the problems with the spidery handwritings.... glory bee [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Hello, > I have another question.
