I am new to the group and have a question for the group. I am a member of the church and was working in the Family History Library. One of our non members that uses the library a lot had a question for me that I couldn't answer. She wants to know, why is some film that has been used to extract temple records in the 1800's restricted to use only in SL? Why does it say you can only view this if you are a member and a direct ancestor? Why does it say the you cannot copy this information except your direct ancestor when these records are over 100 years old? I couldn't answer but would like to know what to tell her. I just said I can't answer. She said the records are extracted to IGI, so why can't anyone get a copy of the original? Can someone please help me answer this. I don't know what to say to her. ==== LDS-GENEALOGY Mailing List ====
