I ordered my first copies of IGI records from Salt Lake City. It took about
2 months.
For the patron submitted records, I got family groups sheets or whatever was
submitted. The family sheets were great because it gave me other members of
the family. These submissions had the name and address of the submittor with
the proviso that the address may not be current. The cost is $0.25 per page
with a minimum payment of $2.00 so be sure to order enough to use up the $2.
For extracted records {start with C, E, J, M (except M17 & M18), P], the cost
is $2 apiece. I ordered one extraction and 7 submissions for $3.75. Worth
every penny!!!!!!
To order these, you need Form 31831. I cannot find this form on their
website. When I ordered other things on their site, I was sent an order form
from which I could this from. I scanned the form and put it into Acrobat so
that I can email it. If you want a copy, put "IGI Form" in subject so I
won't delete it.
Comments About Their Instruction:
"Sources which have batch numbers that start with H, L, M17, M18,
T000011-T000137, T90, T9991, , 6694, and 696 cannot be photocopied"
They ask for country if address is not in the USA so It seems that will mail
elsewhere, however all prices are in US$ so I don't know how they handle
currency. Perhaps your FHC will know. I have a toll-free number for
ordering the forms so I will try to find out. We could probably set some
kind of exchange between list members for those out of the USA. I know I
need documents from Scotland.
