Goldensunshine :-} Did you read about what I did with my relatives photos? Those photographs which are found in musty old albums, back room walls, shoe boxes, or attics. Elderly relatives, or extended family would not permit me to take those photos from their homes---------in some cases not even remove the photos from the original frames. Many of the frames have the curved glass or not too great a quality glass covering the photos.. By using a digital camera, I did the best I could with the setting, but managed to obtain photos of photos. For some, to prevent glare--I stood back 6 or more feet, and using the telephoto lens, captured those photos. In some cases took 3 and 4 shots of each to achieve a some what desired effect or better quality.. I now have my own photo album of over 300-400 pictures. By using --adobe photo deluxe or adobe photo restorer--or a similar program, corel, or ??????? I can at my leisure crop, enhance, and edit the photos..that is remove the glare, lighten (enhancing) the colors.. have not had too much success in capturing like newspaper articles.. but can scan those for my genealogical software.. Did the cemetaries as well. Will eventually burn those photos-software files-scanned articles etc into a CD-rom disk.. I, like you and others.......luv my history in photos.. glory bee [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > i wish that were the case with my family but there are few pictures. and i > think he was speaking of old photos not recent ones. > > ==== LDS-GENEALOGY Mailing List ==== > Basic info about the LDS Church Family History Program > http://www.lds.org/ > Click on Family History for basic info, Media Info for news. ==== LDS-GENEALOGY Mailing List ====
