true true true I luv my scanner --use it all the time for scanning photos, text, making copies etc. But I cannot put a tombstone on the scanner I cannot walk into someones home and set up a computer, scanner or printer so I use the digital camera. Both have specific uses.. in specific areas. have not been able to perfect the act of a digital camera photo of a text document so that it is readable.. Half a page perhaps but not a full page.. text is blurry.. Perhaps an up grade eh?? Thanks for your input.. glory bee Everett MARSHALL wrote: > With my C$149.95 IBM Ideascan; > I found that a scan of the page in a diary came out far better if the setting was > for full colour. i.e. 300 > > For text as in a newspaper with columns etc. the OCR optical character recognition > software provided with the cheapest scanners is something you can edit to > perfection in Adobe or any software that imports a pdf file . > > I haven't saved up enough washers to buy a digital camera.
