I remember about 20 or so years ago I used to fill out these little slips of paper and send them off to SLC along with $1 for each slip of paper, and I would get back an index card with the ancestor's name on it, plus a family group sheet where the ancestor was listed as a child or as a parent. Are they still doing that? Has anyone done it recently? Those family group sheets really helped me out.
