        It describes how to get passive FTP working behind
a firewall, both on the client side and on the server side.
Essentially, you need to configure *both* your firewall
and the FTP server to work together, and not all FTP servers
are flexible enough to handle it. I know that wu-ftpd is,
I do not know about War-FTPD.

        Also, FWIW, active and passive mode have nothing to
do with what username you're logging in as.
