Someone posted asking if anyone had tried Shorewall 1.3.1 on Bering_1.0-rc2.
I can't find the original post, and I haven't seen anyone reply, but the answer's yes, installing took about 5 minutes with ppp0 as the external interface and two 3c509 cards on the local interfaces, eth0 & eth1. The box is headless and has sshd.lrp installed, so I: disconnected the external interface (turned the modem off!) SSHed in and modified the syslinux.cfg file not to load shorewall Rebooted the firewall SSHed in again, mounted the boot drive (in my case a CompactFlash on hda1) SCPed the new shorwall.lrp to the firewall Installed it using lrpkg -i shorwall Modified all the settings using lrcfg (my config's fairly simple) Backed up the shorwall package Modified syslinux.cfg to load shorwall again Switched the modem back on and rebooted Darren _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas - http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm?source=osdntextlink ------------------------------------------------------------------------ leaf-user mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user SR FAQ: http://leaf-project.org/pub/doc/docmanager/docid_1891.html
