Hi Renee,
I don't think you've fully understood the reason for the double dating.
12 Dec doesn't have a double year - even if you are early enough for double dating.

It's dates between 1 January and 24 March which need the double year to show Old Style and New Style dates (Julian/Gregorian) because the Julian year began on 25 March.

All Western countries had switched to Gregorian dating by 1752 so dates after 24 March 1752 are Gregorian - no double dating required.

More information is in Legacy Help. In Search for Help on ... enter Calendar in the Search box on the Index tab and then highlight the History subtitle before clicking on Display OR enter double dating and choose the Calendar History option.

It may be you are trying to indicate an uncertainty in the year. That is a different issue.
