I couldn't agree more with Steve's comments about bells and whistles. If I had known that Version 6 was going to demand so much more resource, and bring my computer to a standstill, I wouldn't have downloaded it in the first place. I don't need to upgrade my PC yet. I can happily do without the Legacy Home Page and Research Guidance etc. etc. Sorry, Millenniacorp, you've overcooked it! I'm going to follow Sherry's instructions for reinstalling the final build of Version 5. As I understand it, the last version of 5.x was able to read the file format of 6.x. And it's a perrennial problem. I stuck to version 4.0 for a long time because my hardware could not cope with the extra memory requirements of 5.0. I saved up and bought a new computer that could cope with the extra memory requirements of 5.0 and then 6.0 comes out, and I can't afford to buy yet another new computer. I do wish they would split off the bells and whistles like "Research Assistants" into a separate program, and concentrate on making improvements to the "core business" of Legacy.
