I was starting to write slides for this lecture, and found myself writing summaries of man pages for gcc and gdb, simply explaning usefull flags etc. I would find this sort of a lecture booring, and I doubt any one would remember much of the details just from hearing a lecture. obviously this is a problem. in addition the lecture was described as: * How Linux can be used by a Technion student. * Development tools and environments, etc. How much time/effort should I spend on the first part? which is basicly marketing linux for a specific audience I noticed the last lecture is development tools, what will it contain, are the two lectures going to overlap? I was thinking about covering gcc,g++,gdb, ddd and emacs what will the last lecture cover?
