Dear All, When the haifux was founded (Guy remember that times?), the main aim was to gather Linux users and programmers to advance Linux related projects (especially, hebrew and israeli-oreiented Linux projects). The haifux mailing list is actually to the prupose of announcing Linux activities in haifux, discuss haifux-related stuff etc. It is not a newbie's list. sorry. there are several newbie's lists around (gnewbies-il I think is one of them). We are willing ot help each other, as we know each other. We are willing to share our knowledge, as we believe this is the way to advance ourselves both as humans and linuxers. We are not helpdesk. sorry. If anyone wants to be - so be it. I'm not an helpdesk. Even if I poses some of the knowledge required to answer those questions, I'm not always answering. Not becuase I'm an evil person (which I am on my spare time). If you want to test our reactions to newbie's just go the newbies mailing list and ask there what you want. If you want to aquire knowledge, come to our meetings, ask questions with not-easy-to-find solution. When I saw your question, I've just deleted it. I even didn't bothered to answer you in private that you need to do man/info/STFG (search the (very) fine google). Assume for a moment you join a MSDN mailing list and ask about confiuring your printer. you would get the same reaction. It's not that we as linuxers are not nice (most of us are). It's just that we don't want in this forum to answer those kind of question. this forum is not for that kind of questions. Have a nice day all of you, Orr. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Haifa Linux Club Mailing List (http://linuxclub.il.eu.org) To unsub send an empty message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
