I, personally, think this to be a good idea. Although I'm no fan of localized envirenments (well, when it's not English, that is), however, I know some people are. One should always keep in mind that one can think and consider for one's self, but others might (and most time do) see things in a different way. I am also a beliver in a propoganda. That's why I installed Linux as a 2nd OS on a computer of a friend of mine. When he thought about playing with perl (he knows some), I just told him (instead of trying to download using slow analog modem) to switch to the alternate OS, and write whatever he wishes. It worked so far. Porting him to a Linux based OS (as his main OS, that is) will take time, and patiance, but I think he might be a good contribution to our whole community, as a programmer, and as a user. Just like MS did, we must "teach" them to respect and love this system since "childhood". This live-cd might be just another tool (and I think that a great one, too!) in order to bring people to the "light", or, speaking rationally, show them the possibilities of a Linux machine. This might not (and probably will not be) a solution to a pro, but, jusy like Shlomi wrote, it can enable a person who is unfamiliar to Linux to see things in a different way, and will allow him a trial-run, without really partitioning or using disk space (which is a hussle, and although it is a must, people new to Linux rarely pass this part smoothly). Well, that is my oppinion. Ez.
