biditext on solaris?

One other thing:

Any idea how can I compile biditext.so on any platform other than
linux/i386 ?

Currently the makefile hase:

DEFINES = -Dlinux -D__i386__ -D_POSIX_SOURCE -D_BSD_SOURCE \
        -D_SVID_SOURCE -DX_LOCALE -DFUNCPROTO=15 -DNARROWPROTO \
        -DMALLOC_0_RETURNS_NULL

I suspect that this list of defines was taken from the gcc command that
was used to build the original files from the XFree86 (ImText.c, Text.c
and Text16.c are files from the X11 distribuition).

This is something I can do on my home system, but not with my account on a
solaris box at work :(  . Any ideas on how to get the list of flags that
will allow me to build on solaris?
