Imagine it will take some more time since mp3 is so nearly universal (just noticed that fm dvd is mp3), but I agree that ogg is the way to go. Opsound is a music label, btw, and I don't think they are at all affiliated with any "opensound" project -- though from your post I found this: http://www.opensound.org/ "In time this site will become a repository for all the tools and information necesary to create free music."
