Recently i thought about doing some audio work, and stumbled across the jack sound server with its nifty features. bad thing though was it's performance mainly due to a non-preemptive, low latency or however one may call it, not realtime enabled debian stock kernel i got running here. my main dilemma right now is, i try to escape having to compile this beast from source like the plague, due to something breaking and not working after a recompile which leads to trying to fix it, breaking more stuff again. rinse and repeat you know. i sure am a geek but my brain and the kernels "make menu/x/g-config" just dont really go well together. bottom line of post: are there low latency precompiled debian binaries somewhere to be found around the net maybe with kernel headers packaged?
