I' m sorry. I don't think I phrased this quite right. The fortran program I was
using was Fortran 4. I would like to dump it all together and find a program that
does mail merge on linux-390. I will have a data file with one letters worth of data
per line and I want to create a form letter to merge it into.

Do I have to write a c program or perl script to do this, or is there a program that
already does this?

I figured it must be a common thing to want to do.

Thanks again,
Rod
