I am not sure if you are aware that Access 2007 has a really great functionality for project management that allows for forms that even connect to MSSQL. I have a few clients hosted with us that use project manager as a way to connect to their MSSQL 2005 database and still gives them capability to dump reports to their local system or to a local access db without too much difficulty.
