Ryan,

 

I would also ask the person what they are using to generate the images.
I suspect that the output from their digital camera (assuming it is a
camera) is not quite standard.  Once you know what is generating the
image I judge it a good bet that a Google search will turn up a
solution.

JPG in and JPG out. I'll try to find out about the OS, does that make a
difference?
