Subject: Re: Freedom from Suffering gv: There's lots of people these days running around saying that they are either partially or totally miserable. I am naturally curious about such claims, although I'm not concerned about them. But I do question it when there is the opportunity. In a world of such beauty it is surprising that there is so much obsession, depression and anxiety about the darkness of oneself and the world. You may be wasting your remaining moments doing that or you may not be doing that. I don't know. Bob: There are lots of people these days running around saying that they are unitarily blessed, pro- baly totally. I am naturally curious about such claims, although I'm not concerned about them. But I do question it when there is the opportunity and I have nothing else to do. In a world of such blinding bril- liance, it is surprising that there is any connection with reality at all, since perception has gone unitary and misery is no longer acknowledged because it makes us seem somehow, ordinary, less evolved. You may be wasting your remaining moments dodging fear through contrived beauty and trans- cendence, or you may not be. I don't know. :-))
