Yes on all counts:
- I recompiled and installed, then had to rebuild the configuration files 
(which is the same observation as made by someone else on a separate 
thread)
- I shut down Opera
- I shutdown imaps using svc
- I killed all running imap processes
- I verified that all imap processes were gone
- I restarted imaps using svc
- I removed the Opera log file on my PC
- I started Opera
- Opera started downloading messages, then stopped and disconnected
- I shut down Opera
- I moved the log file to the web page
- I watched the imap process for a few minutes running at 15M of memory and 
near > 95% CPU
- I killed rogue imap porcess

BTW, I am running OpenBSD 3.2.

associated with a process gone wild.

This is interesting. Are you sure the bincimapd process that went wild
came from the binary with the patches applied?
