But... I thought you said the other day that the actor was off working on other projects, so *that* was the problem. In any case, from my "outside the box" point if view, it seems to me that the writers didn't always know what to do with the character. The characters would get in some sort of scrape and fisticuffs or a dinosaur encounter would ensue-- while the others would get all physical and really into it, Summerlee would often sit back and miraculously turn out okay. Often, his character didn't fit the physicality that the situation demanded, but the other character could handle. So I'd surmise that the producers didn't think the character fit so they got rid of him.
