I really have no problems at all with the actors leaving the show as they are people trying to earn a living just like everyone else. I wish them the best of success, whether they remain with The Lost World or not. I was just curious if they'd given a reason for doing so. I understand if they wish to keep their reasons private. Besides, it's pretty obvious that the near cancellation of the series is the likely cause. If anything, I'm saddened by how the character departures will effect the show. I'd already emotionally invested myself in the Summerlee character and was disappointed when was written out of the show. The loss of both Malone and Veronica is an even bigger blow because these characters have been around longer and have even more story. With the loss of so many characters, the show is seeming less and less like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's version, eh? Maybe so, but I figure that since most actors in Hollywood *never* get a successful series, they'd be grateful for the steady paycheck. Still, I'm sure that spending more than half a year working in another country and away from family and friends is a contributor too to the "emotional rollercoaster" of which you speak. I do understand and accept Orth and O'Dell's reasons for leaving the show. Best of luck to them. Thanks, Michael, for your response.
