Dear Bruno: Your question is a good one but I think fret diameters differ widely from one instrument to another. Variations in the height of the nut, straightness of the fingerboard, and amount of flex of the 'soundboard' of your lute, due to temperature and humidity, will affect fret diameters. I like to use 1.5 mm for the first fret but it works on my lute because the nut is a little high. You might try measuring the string height at each fret location to determine how to size the frets. Also, it seems to me that tone can be affected by fret diameters. Frets that are too thick can produce a dull tone, and those too thin can produce a snappy or insubstantial tone. The best solution is to ask the luthier who made your instrument. Also, you might get helpful feedback from the lute builder's list.
