The baroque lute is about, probablyavailable, but while I'd be willing to spend a year or two learning dminortuning and such, I'm really looking to develop some continuo ability.
If you can use the Baroque lute why not just string it up with single strings? At least there will be enough pegs and the RH spacing would be in the ball park.
