Thanks to everybody who helped me with my initial trouble with compiling
barracuda. I am sorry to say that, after fixing the qt paths and getting
"make" to run, "make install" still aborts with the message:

 /usr/bin/ld: cannot open -lstdc++: No such file or directory
 collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
 make: *** [barracuda] Error 1

All compilers (g++, gcc, egcs) and libraries
(/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.2.7.2, /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.2.7.2.8,
/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.2.8) properly run on my Debian system,
and I can't find a "stdc++" string in any of the Barracuda source files...

...so I guess it must be some deep-down incompatibility between the Barracuda
Makefile and the Linux installation I have. (I normally don't get these
problems when compiling other software.) Since other people wrote me that they
had trouble compiling Barracuda as well - is there any opportunity to get
Intel Linux-Binaries of the program?
