Fair questions, let me reply:

It is very much incomplete and absolutely a work in progress. From
your list it partially supports tables, figures, some spacings, notes,
index and citations. ERT and any other missing feature causes the
conversion to stop. It works in my environment (Debian GNU/Linux with
a certain selection of packages), I can make no guarantees as to any
other machines. But I'm willing to improve it.

I cannot commit too much of my time because I have family
responsibilities and a demanding job. The best guarantee for future
maintenance IMHO are satisfied users and good modularity, but both of
these need further proof so let us see how it goes first.
