I think the spellchecker should not do any guessing and switching. As long as we are using LaTeX, languages simply need be marked properly. A nice feature, though, would be a language dropdown in the spellchecking pane which does not only indicate the current language, but which can also be altered. This then would change the selection's language. This is useful in cases where you have forgotten to mark some words. Jürgen
