At least I do not use Emacs or Xemacs due to its very clumsy,
unintuitive and ugly graphical interface. Of course you can do almost
everything with it if you just could remember how...

So another way is do it like in Nedit and some other Motif-programs like
Netscape. There you can press Shift and do the middle-click and a
cut-and-paste operation is done instead of the standard copy-and-paste.
Much more intuitive than any Drag'n'drop IMHO. 

Well, actually I support only one Drag-and-Drop protocol (Drag your
sorry ass out of here and Drop dead) so maybe my opinions may not be
very widely accepted. But still operation that does not differ much
from the standard X-windows operation would be nice in X-applications.
In many ways the Windows cut-and-paste is not most efficient way to use
a computer (although many people do not know any other way). But what
can you do when you don't even have enough buttons in the mouse in the
first place :-)
