Apparently TeXLive 2007 does not ship Optima because of license issues but allows, however, for a very easy install [2]. getnonfreefonts-sys -h getnonfreefonts-sys -l getnonfreefonts-sys classico Now it works like a sweet. From what I see, Optima is a great sans match for Palatino (or Pagella). They are so very similar, although one is ostensibly a serif, and the other a sans. I attach the .lyx file, and post the .pdf here [3].
