NeDi Installation Failure

I have followed the instructions located here:

I've gotten to step 3, "Install and Configure NeDi". Unfortunately, when I run 
the command "sudo port install nedi" it doesn't work. The debug output is here:

System is a clean install of Leopard with nothing but the software described in 
the above link installed.

Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.
