The provided misc/mailman.in script contains the line
# pidfile: @prefix@/data/master-qrunner.pid
While this is a comment, it may be used by chkconfig, etc. and it's
wrong. It should be
# pidfile: @VAR_PREFIX@/data/master-qrunner.pid
