There are two steps in delivery. Delivery from Mailman to the MTA and
delivery from the MTA to the final destination or relay for each
recipient.

To stop delivery from Mailman if it hasn't already completed, stop
Mailman, remove the offending queue entry/entries from Mailman's out/
queue (probably /var/spool/mailman/out in RedHat's package), and start
Mailman. (Mailman's bin/show_qfiles can be used to look at queue
entries to see the message they contain.)

For messages already delivered to the MTA, you have to remove them from
the MTA's queue
