M-TH: Nationalism vs globalism!

Well for a number of years now on aspt as elsewhere we have been hearing the left
scream about globalism. The latest expression of this was the almost euphoric
writtings about events in Seattle!

Not in the least Meberry!

Anyhow events in Austria as elsewhere show that the national state certainly is the
tool that the national bourgeoisie needs far more then anything else in order to
continue there rule.

All the talk about globalization is a fluke and especially coming from a new left who
was raised on so called anti-imperialist struggles and are comfortably looking for a
theory which passes into decades of new left activism along anti imperialist and
popular front lines.

Contrary to all of this will be the growth of inter imperialist rivalry leading to a
new world war just based on the greddy interests of the various national bourgeoisies
against other national bourgeoisies.

The period of and unholy alliance is over against communism with the destruction of
the SU and it becoming its own capitalist state with imperialist intentions.

Despite the ravings of Meberry.

The so called project of the European common market and defense with the goal of a
United States of Europe just got its first nail in the coffin with events in Austria
which I believe will spread to other countries here in Europe, the former East Europe
and not in the least the former SU.

Because fundamentally the crisis which is comuing is the classical one of over
production and shrinking world markets and the need of redividing the booty. Despite
the IT bubble.

That is the short version. Any takers on this stuff.

Warm regards
