[mascagni-interest] Mascagni at the Palazzo del Quirinale

Dear list,

June 2 is the Italian National Day (or "Festa Nazionale della
Repubblica). Among the events that will take place at the presidential
palace ("Palazzo del Quirinale") on Sunday June 1 and Monday June 2,
Maestro Gianluigi Gelmetti, known to Mascagnani as conductor of Iris
and Le Maschere at the Rome Opera, will conduct the Intermezzo from
Cavalleria Rusticana and the Inno del Sole from Iris.
The performance will be broadcast on RAI UNO on Sunday June 1 at
23:30. For those in Europe, there is still time to setup your VCRs!
I'd be curious to hear about this performance.
