  "Pianist, composer and writer Alan Mallach (piano and commentary)
  and Cheri Rose Katz (mezzo soprano) will perform songs and piano
  pieces at the Roosevelt Borough Hall of Roosevelt, New Jersey, this
  coming Saturday, March 20, at 8 PM.
  Directions from the program: "The Roosevelt Borough Hall is located
  on Route 571 approximately 5 miles southeast of Hightstown. From
  Exit 8 of the NJ Turnpike follow Route 33 east to the 2nd light and
  turn right on Milford Road for one mile to a T intersection. At the
  intersection turn left on Route 571 and follow it for 3 miles. The
  municipal building will be on your left as you enter town."
  A voluntary contribution of $5 is suggested. For further information

This sounds like a must for people in the New Jersey / New York area!
Some of Mascagni's songs are quite sophisticated, in particular his
later ones like La Luna and Ascoltiamo!, two songs that will be
performed that evening.
I look forward to hear about this event if anybody on the list happens
