Dear list,
This email announces a review of a CD set of Le Maschere recently released (probably in 2003) on label Kicco. I had so far been unable to get a hold of this set, but just recently I managed to buy a copy online at http://www.jpc.de/. This enthusiastic review was originally written by Yonel Buldrini for a French web site called Forum Opéra (http://www.forumopera.com/).
The review is available at Mascagni.org in English translation:

For the French-speaking, the original French version is also available:

I share the point of view of the reviewer and I do like this version a lot. From a technical standpoint the sound is pretty good, although you can hear some funny transitions between numbers, probably where some applause or other pause was removed. This is typical Kicco, but luckily the recording remains very enjoyable. If you can find this set, I definitely recommend it.
I haven't compared the recording against a score, but there appears to be more music in this version than in the two previous "complete" versions by Gelmetti (1988) and Bartoletti (1961).
A DVD of the same performance was announced at some point, but I haven't found it yet.
