===============================
Now here is a telling piece of the puzzle. I searched the medical
databases including CINAHL, MEDLINE, PsycyInfo, and Journals @ OVID and
the result of the search was only one citation even in a search of the
entire record, not just title and or subject heading.
Savely, Virginia R 1; Leitao, Mary M 2; Stricker, Raphael B 3
The Mystery of Morgellons Disease: Infection or Delusion?
American Journal of Clinical Dermatology. 7(1):1-5, 2006.
Contrast this serious medical condition for quantity of results with say
anorexia nervosa as an arbitary point of comparison and limiting anorexia
nervosa to only where it occurs in the title.
(anorexia adj1 nervosa).ti. 8923
or only the subject heading
(anorexia adj1 nervosa).kw,kf,sh,df,xs,fs,id,an,ui. 4544
It would appear that the medical research community is not burning the
midnight oil and research grants on Morgellon's. By the way Linda Bee on
her RecipesBetweenFriends may have a good formula for those eye hatched
green shrimp. <g>
"It doesn't help convince skeptical doctors that many sufferers complain
of hard-to-believe symptoms. One San Francisco woman describes "tiny green
shrimp" that come from her face, and she said she saw a fly pop out of her
right eye. "
