modeless "custom properties" instead of modal?

Hi friends,

the next version of the MC IDE is right around the corner, and I  
wanted to ask you
if it is OK to open the "custom properties" stack as MODELESS (or  
maybe palette)
instead of "MODAL" as it is now?
