MC hosed

I was happily working away in MC, then I shut down and rebooted into my 
Leopard install.  Tried to open MC, it asked for reg info.  Fair enough, 
I thought, since I hadn't run MC over on that partition in several builds.

So I entered my reg info, and MC started to start, then quit.  I tried 
again, same thing.  Rev, however, launches fine.

So I rebooted into my normal OS X 10.4.11 partition, and tried to open 
MC. Now it won't launch there either.

Damn.  I have a lot of work to do.

Any clues as to how I can get MC running again?  WTF went wrong?
