Bounced messages

I am trying to bounce old messages to an archive.   MHarc/Mhonarc
processes the Resent-date and places the messages in the incorrect
folder.  For instance a message from 2006-05 that is has just been
bounced to the archive will be filed un 2006-10.  It looks like
MHarc/Mhonarc processes the first "Received" header it reaches.  Is
there a way to force MHarc/Mhonarc to process the original "Received"
header or the "Date"?
