Dear listers,
I have just been asked by an editor for the units of a graph displaying
between-object distances within a morphospace. In this case, Distances are
Euclidean distances measured from the W matrix obtained from TPS.
The quick answer I was writing is that after scaling for the centroide
size and depending on the number of landmarks, absolute values are not
interpretable and they can be interpreted in a relative way only. However,
they are distances, so they are not truly dimensionless quantities.

so..., Is it possible to give units for between-object distances?

Thanks
Miquel Palmer
