I teach middle school. Every year I have some students who would rather have me do their work. They don't seem to want to work with the material themselves.
When I have said something like, "I know you can do this. Give it a try," the student usually gets more stubborn about being unable to do the work. Does anyone have specific ideas about the words to use with middle school students? Thanks!
