Look into the Teachers' College Reading and Writing Project (Lucy Calkins)

http://rwproject.tc.columbia.edu/  Look for the information on how to join 
the Project.  Our district has had two trainers come for a week during the 
past two summers to lead a writer's workshop class.  They are pricey, but do 
an exceptional job.

writing and set up procedures and coached teachers on how to do it.
